Altec 620 cabinet & Onken

Hi guys,

I've some concerns with regards to the mentioned cabinets.

Firstly, on the 620, there're 2 rectangular openings on the front panel. What are those for? One should be a tuning port, right? Which is it, and what's the other port for?

As for the Onken, does it need any damping material in it, such as wool, glass wool, cotton, etc?

The Onken does use internal padding [wool].

Hi Ihgin,

the taller port is the tuning port, the other one is the cut-out for the crossover

Do you guys have any idea where can I get Mastering Lab's Crossover?

They come up now and again on ebay but tend to be quite pricey. We hope to have an improved crossover for vintage 604's as well as model 19's available very soon.

When would the new improved crossover comes out? I've been thinking of biamping the 604D.
